Courage

Dear Blog,

What does the word “courage” mean? Is it “guts” that a person has inside him? Is it bravery to face the danger? Is it the will to do something that others won’t dare to do? Hmm…people can have their own definition in this word. But generally, like I read in dictionary, the word “courage” is the state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution or bravery.

Well, in my opinion, “courage” is beating my nonsense fear. There’re lot of nonsense things I’m afraid of, and right now, I’ve juz beaten some of them and those are:

  1. I’m not afraid to be alone in the middle of nowhere at night anymore
  2. I’ve already touched snake and tiger
  3. I’ve watched sadistic movies that usually I wont bear to watch…
  4. I dare to face what’s going to be happened in the future

There’re also lot of other “heinous” things I’ve already beaten, some of it I’m still trying to face it ’til now. Maybe next time I’ll do bungee-jumping and other challenging activities *If I have a chance to to that ^_^* ‘Til next time then =)

Promiscuous

D’Blog,

There is a word that makes me curious today: “Promiscuous“. This word is the title of Nelly Furtado feat Timbaland’s song. I found the meaning of this word in www.kamus-online.com. In Indonesia, this word can be referred as: kacau-balau, campur-aduk, tidak pilih-pilih, or asal saja. In http://dictionary.reference.com this word is reffered as:

  1. characterized by or involving indiscriminate mingling or association, esp. having sexual relations with a number of partners on a casual basis.
  2. consisting of parts, elements, or individuals of different kinds brought together without order.
  3. indiscriminate; without discrimination.
  4. casual; irregular; haphazard.

Hmm…interesting and unique word :)
